A KENDAL jewellers will be marking its 45th anniversary in 2022 and looks forward to continuing the outstanding service it has become known for.
Morgan Banks, located in Market Street, is owned, and operated by Peter and Leslie Banks.
The shop has earned a reputation for its high-quality service and going the extra mile for customers in the community.
Peter and Leslie were previously located on Finkle Street before moving to Market Street in 2015.
Morgan Banks offers services for wedding and engagement rings, anniversary gifts, birthday gifts, jewellery, watches, and ornaments.
Peter said: "We have been here for the past six years now.
"The business was originally known as George Banks in Preston but when we moved to Kendal, we rebranded it into what it is today.
"My grandfather launched the original business back in 1935 in Preston.
"This year will also be 45 years since we began, we don't have anything particularly special planned but it is a nice milestone.
"We have a history of keeping customers happy and we want to continue to do that.
The original shop, Peter George Banks, had been a regular and well-loved feature of the town centre for several years. After the rebranding the company changed its name to Morgan Banks.
The nominator for Morgan Banks said: “I needed a repair carrying out on my watch which otherwise would've required sending it to Scotland for a manufacturers repair.
“Thankfully Morgan Banks has a watchmaker on site who was able to repair the watch.
“I left it with them on Tuesday and collected it in perfect working order the following day with the whole process taking less than twenty-four hours.
“Additionally, the watchmaker took time to explain the repair and ways to avoid future damage.
"The repair was very reasonably priced and the service from the staff was excellent."
