KENDAL Rugby club were overpowered by Vale in their recent match which saw their defence put under pressure.
After some back and forth action after the opening stages Kendal scores eight minutes in thanks to a set up by Anthony Gage.
Vale almost immediately had their first score with a penalty to make it 5v3, then took the lead with a try to lead by eight.
A penalty from Chris Park drew the team’s level, but Vale scored two more times to place them ahead on 20 points to 8.
Despite having success in the lineouts, Kendal had to dig deep to hold on to the game.
Kendal were back in the game for a short time early in the second half with a try from Anthony Gage, set up by a break from deep in his twenty two from Dane Blenkharn, and when Gage took the ball near halfway he had no support, but got to the line before being tackled, and the try was awarded. Chris Park added the conversion 15v20.
Vale pulled away with three tries one converted for a 15v39 lead with ten minutes to play, before Kendal centre Josh Waters crashed over for a try converted by Chris Park 22v39
Vale added a further two converted tries for a 22v53 win.
