TWO school pupils have donated their hair to The Little Princess Trust.
The year seven pupils from The Queen Katherine School, Eve and Bella, donated their hair during the half-term holidays. Bella had been growing her hair her whole life and decided now was the right time to get it cut as there was the right length to get it cut and donate to the trust.
Eve had decided to donate her hair as she wanted to 'make a difference and give my hair to someone who needs it more than me'.
The Little Princess Trust was established in 2006 by the parents of Hannah Tarplee, their friends and Hereford Cathedral Junior School.

In 2004 Hannah was diagnosed with a Wilms tumour. Hannah loved her hair and losing it was very traumatic for her. Her parents, Wendy and Simon, searched high and low to find a wig suitable for Hannah, during her treatment. When they found one, it had a hugely positive effect on Hannah.
Tragically, Hannah died in 2005 and with so many kind offers of financial and practical help, Wendy and Simon felt the most fitting tribute would be to launch a charity dedicated to providing real hair wigs for children and young people.
On why they picked the Princess Trust, Bella and Eve said: "I picked the Little Princess Trust because my best friend Nieve donated her hair in Year 6 and I thought it was a great idea."
Both Bella and Eve said their parents were incredibly proud of them. Bella said: "Everybody loved my new hairstyle and were really happy I donated it so someone can have a wig made from it."
QKS headteacher Jon Hayes said: "Eve and Bella have shown incredible compassion in making these donations and to such a worthwhile cause. Well done, we are all very proud of you.”

Both pupils said that they will both be donating their hair in the future, Eve said: "I am going to keep growing my hair again and see if it can get it to grow longer this time."
The girls will be receiving a certificate for their donation, Eve said: "They were very appreciative and pleased that I was giving the hair to them. They let me know that they’d make good use of it."
