HERE are the results for the West Lancashire League after their latest fixtures.
Milnthorpe Corinthians remained eight points clear at the top of West Lancashire League Division One after they defeated Lostock St Gerards 2-1.
Corinthians who edged closer to promotion into The West Lancashire League Premier Division, opened the scoring after 40 minutes when former Kendal Town player Steven Yawson scored.
Jimmy Marshalls team further extended their lead following a goal from former Lancaster City and Kendal Town striker Tom Kilifin.
Lostock got back into the game following Jordan Wignalls 59th minute penalty however Milnthorpe held onto to secure the win.
In the other games, Kendal County lost 2-0 to Haslingden St Marys, both teams battled out a relatively tight first half, however two mistakes during the second half led to the visitors scoring twice with Luke Taylor scoring on 50 minutes before Leon Barker Williams 70th minute strike sealed the win for the visitors.
Kendal United drew 0-0 at Cartmel & District in West Lancashire League Division Two,before they edged out Carnforth Rangers 1-0 on Tuesday night.
However in Reserve Division Two, Milnthorpe Corinthians Reserves won 2-0 at Carnforth Rangers Reserves.
Tom Jackson opened the scoring after 10 minutes before Caine Mc Cartneys goal on the stroke of half time sealed the win.
Appleby moved to within seven points of league leaders Kirkoswald in James Cropper Westmorland League Division One after they routed Kirkby Stephen 4-0, Wetheriggs United kept up the pressure at the top winning 5-2 at Shap.
Ibis drew 0-0 with Kirkby Stephen at the weekend, while Endmoor KGR drew 1-1 with Penrith Reserves where Lewis Airey scored for KGR.
And the stand out game of Division Two saw Ibis Reserves defeat Kendal United Reserves 3-0, Cory Robinson scored twice while Bailey Dobson was also on the scoresheet.
