The beautiful Morecambe Bay will once again provide a stunning venue for a major fundraising event.
Hosted by Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice, the Morecambe Bay Walk returns this year and will take place on Saturday, July 9 with participants completing an eight-mile walk, starting from Arnside, and finishing at Grange-over-Sands.
The wonderful experience offers those who take part unbeatable views of the Morecambe Bay, Lancashire Coastline and Lake District all while supporting the charity’s incredible work with people who have life limiting illnesses as well as their families.
Vicki Lesley, from the hospice’s fundraising team, said: “By signing up to the Morecambe Bay Walk you’ll be helping support the work of the incredible staff here at the hospice and ensuring we can continue offering dedicated care and love to people from across Cumbria with life limiting illnesses.
“The walk is always a great day out so why not join the hundreds of people who’ll be taking part again this year.
"On the day the walk will be led by the brilliant The Guide to the Sands Trust while our hospice team will be there on the day to cheer you on and help you achieve your fundraising goals in the run-up to the event.”
Sign-ups are now open for the event, which is hosted by The Guide to the Sands Trust, on the hospice’s website at https://www.edenvalleyhospice.org/support-us/events/event/morecambe-bay-walk-2022 or https://www.jigsawhospice.org/support-us/events/event/morecambe-bay-walk-2022. Participants are reminded they can also sign-up their dogs to take part in the event.
