MOUNTAIN rescue teams have made a successful evacuation from a fell.
Two people and their dog were descending from Swirl Hause when they lost the path.
A mixture of darkness and being in a bog caused them to lose their way and they contacted the police.
Police called out Coniston MRT, who sent two Land Rovers to Levers Water dam and continued on foot to the stranded hikers.
The rescue took eight members an hour and forty-five minutes and they had hot drinks back at the mountain rescue base.
This is the seventh call-out Coniston MRT has had in 2022.
