A popular Bowness pub has reopened following a major refurbishment.
The Village Inn, on Lake Road, Bowness, a Greene King pub, officially reopened on Monday, March 28, following a six-figure investment project, with the bar, kitchen and beer garden undergoing a complete makeover.
A spokesperson for The Village Inn said:
"The pub boasts a warm, sociable atmosphere, complete with lovingly cooked food, perfectly presented drinks and homely new decor.
"Whether you’re catching up with friends, enjoying a hearty family meal, or looking to unwind after a day on the water, The Village Inn is a community hub for locals and visitors alike.
"With a refurbished kitchen and brand-new food menu, visitors can expect to feast on a range of dishes, including traditional pub favourites like Sunday roasts and fish and chips; and our mouth-watering signature goulash recipe.
"The bar has also received a modern upgrade, featuring brand new cask ales, an extensive gin collection and two wood-burning stoves in the seating area.
"Meanwhile, the beer garden has experienced a complete makeover, featuring lush wood seating across three terraces.
"The Village Inn is situated just a three-minute walk from Bowness Bay, a popular location for sailing and water sports.
"With easy transport links to Windermere and Kendal, the pub is in a prime location for those looking to enjoy the freedom of the Lake District – plus it’s dog-friendly.
"Visitors can also enjoy local hot spots, including the magical Beatrix Potter Attraction, the nearby Windermere Steamboat Museum, or relaxing walks in the Southern Fells."
Miles Fricker, General Manager at The Village Inn, said: "The Village Inn is the perfect spot to unwind after a fun-filled day exploring the Lake District.
"Whether you’re staying active with local sailing and water sports, or enjoying the natural beauty with your loved ones, you’ll always have good food and an ice-cold drink to look forward to at The Village Inn.
"The renovation has brought a fresh new energy to the pub, and with improved facilities we’re really pleased to be able to offer our Windermere customers an even better drinking and dining experience with us.
"We look forward to welcoming friends from near and far back to The Village Inn over the next few weeks"
