(ABOVE) The stained glass window on the staircase in E. H. Booths store in Wainwright’s Yard, which apparently was originally housed in the companies shop in Southport.

The business was started by nineteen year old Edwin Henry Booth in 1847 and today can boast of having a total of twenty nine stores.

Kendal’s first Booths shop in Highgate was enlarged in 1964, and a new larger purpose built store in 2002.
