A GROUP of men pretending to be homeless had travelled from Scotland to beg in Kendal, said police.
South Lakes Police escorted a gang of men begging in Kendal out of the town this morning.
Police said the men were not homeless and had travelled from Scotland to Cumbria to beg in Kendal.
A spokesman said: "Reports of a gang of males begging in Kendal this morning. Males located, along with their very nice vehicle and escorted out of the area.
"These males were not homeless and had travelled from Scotland to beg in Kendal."
