Kendal Mountain Rescue Team were called out to an incident at Starnthwaite Gill, near Crosthwaite on the afternoon of Thursday 3 March.
The team received a call from Cumbria Police after a lady at fallen at the location and sustained a supected broken ankle.
When the team found her, she was treated on-site before they transferred her to a friend's car, and was then taken to hospital.
Kendal Mountain Rescue Team were established in 1953, and answers around 60 emergency callouts per year, with 2015 being the year with the most number of callouts on record.
