PUBS across the region are raising a glass after being named among the best.
To celebrate 'National Pub Week' the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) has revealed the top pubs in its Good Beer Guide - and there are plenty in South Lakeland.
Each pub in the book has been visited by volunteers who taste the beers to decide if it should go on the list.
The guide surveys 4,500 pubs across the UK and it is considered the best guide to beer.
Analysing the very best pints in the most picturesque and friendly pubs, if beer drinkers need advice the Good Beer Guide is where to turn.
Peter Unsworth, owner of the Unsworth Yard Brewery in Cartmel, said being in the guide makes all his work worthwhile.
"It's a national organisation and the fact they have picked us out as somewhere where people can come and get a good pint is a really good thing," he said.
This is the first time the brewery's bar has been included in the guide.
He said: "We're in Cartmel so we're in a busy village, which has recently had a boost with Simon (Rogan) getting another Michelin star so business has bounced back since the pandemic and things like this keep us going forward."
On what he loves working in the industry, he said: "For me it's working in this village - a place I was brought up in. It's an absolutely fantastic part of the world to live in."
Another South Lakeland pub featuring on the list is the Golden Rule at Ambleside. It is run by John Lockley and has featured in the guide since the mid-1970s.
He said: "It is a feather in your cap."
He said he loved working in the pub due to the 'wonderful customers' that he has.
"It's the customers that make the pub what it is and the staff who are vitally important if you have good staff you have good business," he said.
He said he was happy to have the pub filled with punters again and said the past few years had been 'tedious'.
