KENDAL Rugby celebrated another victory against Bowdon in their game on February 19.
The weather was against them at first but the sun came to watch the game during the second half.
Lewis Kincart had picked up an injury in training so Aaron Quincy-Byrne came into the team at scrum half this week.
The match score opened up early after a kicked penalty from Bowdon put them up by three points.
Bowdon did the simple things well, while Kendal were able to hold them off.
However, it was Steven Nelson who crashed over the line for a try which was converted by Chris Park.
Bowden answered back by kicking another penalty and it was 6-7 at halftime.
The second half was better when Kendal scored another try early on.
Bowden took a quick lineout throw, only for Matt Houghton to intercepted and strolled under the posts, again converted by Chris Park to make it 6v14.
Bowdon scored an unconverted try to build up to 11-14.
Steven Nelson scored again, after a lot of pressure and the try was converted by Glen Weightman as Chris Park had picked up an injury 11-21.
Kendal had a penalty near the posts with eight minutes to go so went for the corner to attempt the bonus point try.
This was successfully scored by debutant Aaron Quincy-Byrne, again converted by Glen Weightman.
The score ended on 11v28 for Kendal.
Bowdon selected Robbie Collinson as the man of the match for Kendal.
Kendal faced Bowdon once again on February 26 where they were victorious once more.
