A RETURNING festival will grace the streets of a town centre this summer.
Ulverston will once again erupt into a multicoloured feast of live music, DJs, circus, street theatre, live street art, window painting, yarnbombing, stand up comedy, spoken word, interactive workshops and a new world record attempt.
The twice world-record-breaking Another Fine Fest is back on June 18-19 to rock the cobbles with the seventh instalment of the free multi-arts festival where revellers celebrate until he sun goes down.
Dave Crossley, the festival's organiser, said: "I can't actually believe that it will be three years since the last one.
"After the misery of lockdown we are more than ready to get back to action and rock those cobbles good and proper."
After just six years, AFF has established itself as one of the firm favourites in Ulverston’s festival calendar. It is one of the most well attended with up to 18,000 patrons flocking to Ulverston from all over the world.
Mr Crossley said: "In 2019, pubs were running out of beer, supermarket shelves were cleared and cash machines had no notes left.
"It was pretty crazy and there was such an electric atmosphere all over town.
"We are anticipating another busy one this summer as people have been starved of festival action for the last couple of years for obvious reasons."
They are looking to extend the market and developing the food and drink side of the festival this year. The aim is to offer cuisines from over the world as well as the best local offerings.
Previously, the festival has taught circus skills, poetry and rap, song creation, music production and promotion as well as prop and costume making.
Being a free event that takes place in the town centre, the festival would not be able to host such a vast spectrum of world class entertainment without the support of local business sponsors, partner venues and the public who donate to the crowdfunding campaigns.
Mr Crossley said: "No donation is too small and you can even donate larger amounts in return for rewards such as bowler hats which have been hand painted by some of our world class artists or a hand stitched love heart which will be displayed as part of the decor in the town centre."
