A POET will be reading his latest book in front of an audience next month.
Mark Pennington, Kendal will be reading his latest book titled 'the end of sepulchre street' at the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal.
Mark's latest book of poems centres around his life experiences, he said: "It's signposting along the way in life at the moment.
"I am past my mid-30s and i suppose there is a lot of baggage so it is dealing with all of that really.
"The main overarching theme is grief and it crops up a lot in the book is a loss both real and imagined."
The book which came out at the end of 2021 has been well received by the public, Mark said: "This reading coming up with hopefully put the book on the map a bit more."
The reading will be in front of an audience and last 30 minutes, tickets are currently on sale for £6.
The audience will watch Mark read a range of poems that are close to his heart, Mark said the poems are quite dark but they are unique in the way that they are presented.
Mark has taken part in a few readings like this one, he said that they are a 'great experience'.
On what he loves about taking part in events like this he said: "It's great to make connections when you're on stage and you're reading, everything goes quiet and quite intense.
