The Cave Rescue Organisation was called out to Ingleton Waterfalls after a person felt unwell after not eating all day.
The team received a report on Thursday afternoon that a visitor to the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail was struggling with fatigue and was feeling unwell, having been walking from Ingleton for two and a half hours.
The duty controller confirmed that the party were on the path above Thornton Force, and team members met on the green lane, higher up, before descending to find the casualty and their three companions.
A Cave Rescue spokesman said: “After an assessment by one of the team’s casualty carers, in which the casualty admitted that they had had nothing to eat all day, they were gently walked to the team Land Rovers and driven to the Ingleborough Community Centre.
“Here, the driver of the Stagecoach service bus kindly agreed to delay his departure so that the group could take the first leg of their journey home.”
