KENDAL Snowsports Club have announced they will be running a new special series of taster sessions during Christmas.
The Snowsports Club, located at Canal Head, will be offering children between the ages of seven to seventeen three taster courses during the festive period to give them an introduction on the sport.
The courses will show basic techniques and movements which will give new skiers a feel for the sport and encourage them to take it up.
The club have recently been provided with a grant from Cumbria County Council's Healthy Activities and Food (HAF) scheme.
This enabled Kendal Snowsports club to be able to run three fully instructed and supervised taster days over the Chrismas break, taking place in both December and January.
Dates for the sessions will be December 20 and 21, and January 3.
The places are free to families on free school meals and cost £17 for all others.
Lunch will be provided by Joey's cafe.
The club always welcomes new skiers to join them.
