POLICE have launched an investigation after a car received ‘extensive scratching’ to its body work.
Cumbria Police is appealing for information following the report of criminal damage.
According to police, the incident occurred on the morning of October 28, at the Market Square, Kirkby Stephen, and that a parked Black Ford Kuga received extensive scratching to the bodywork from a sharp object, on the nearside back door.
A force spokesman said: “Any witnesses to this incident, or anyone with information is asked to contact Cumbria police via www.cumbria.police.uk/report it or by calling 101.
“Information can be reported completely anonymously to independent charity CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.
“The reference number to include in reports is log 81 of the 4th of November.”
