A MUSEUM will remain closed over the weekend due to flooding.
Windermere Jetty Museum has decided to remain closed over the weekend (October 30 and 31) due to ‘patches’ of flooding.
Museum bosses announced this morning that the museum would be closed today (October 29).
They also reassured the public that the galleries and collection are 'perfectly safe' as the museum is designed to withstand high water levels.
The closure is due to flooding around the wider site, making it for visitors to navigate around the outside.
A spokesman said: “Unfortunately the museum will remain closed this weekend (29/30/31 Oct) due to patches of flooding around the site.
“If you've booked we'll be in touch to rearrange your visit or refund.
“You can still visit Blackwell which is open daily and its tea room which is open Saturday/Sunday.”
