TRAFFIC is being diverted through Appleby following a collision, according to police.
Cumbria Police have reported that westbound traffic is being diverted through the town following a collision on the A66.
A force spokesman added: “Please avoid the area whilst the road is made safe.”
Eden Police added: “Currently dealing with a RTC on the A66 Appleby Bypass, west. All traffic being diverted through Appleby at this time.
“The weather is causing a few issues, if you don't need to travel, please stay home. If you are travelling, please turn your lights on and drive to the conditions.”
