VILLAGERS put their best foot forward for a catwalk at Storth Village Hall during a charity fashion show that raised £624.24 for Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
The event, which also had a licensed bar and raffle, was organised by villagers Alison Charlesworth and Lesley Drummond with help from their fellow members of Rosemere Cancer Foundation’s Dallam Supporters Group.
It featured branded high street clothes at discounted prices by So2You, which organised a catwalk show featuring a line-up of debutant models.
The show proved so popular it will be returning to the village hall on Saturday, May 7 with a spring/summer collection to again raise funds for Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
Rosemere Cancer Foundation works to bring cancer treatments and services to cancer patients from throughout south Cumbria and Lancashire being treated at Rosemere Cancer Centre, which is the region’s specialist cancer treatment and radiotherapy centre at the Royal Preston Hospital, and at another eight local hospital cancer units across the two counties, including that at Westmorland General Hospital.
