IT was a busy evening for one mountain rescue team who attended three incidents on Saturday night.
Volunteers from Duddon and Furness Mountain Rescue Team were called out to assist Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team on Saturday evening after they had attended three incidents running concurrently.
Among those, was a group of three people and their dog who had become lost in the poor weather on Scafell Pike.
A spokesman for Duddon and Furness MRT said: "After some difficulty locating the missing group, they were found, warmed up and walked back to their car in the valley."
The crew also helped find a pair who went missing on Scafell Pike.
Following this, another pair had attempted to ascend Broken Rib on The Screes above Wastwater and become crag fast in very steep and loose ground.
Due to the high risk involved, the teams decided to request assistance from a Maritime and Coastguard Agency rescue helicopter, who winched the casualties from the slope.
The helicopter gave the walkers a lift back to their camp site.
12 team members responded to the call-out, with the incident lasting around eight hours.
