TEN mountain rescue members were sent to an incident after a woman suffered an ankle injury.
Volunteers from Coniston Mountain Rescue Team were dispatched on Tuesday at 5.40pm to Levers Water dam following a call out from Cumbria Police
A spokesman for CMRT said: "It was a cool and cloudy evening when we were called by Cumbria Police to help a woman with an ankle injury close to Levers Water dam.
"She was unable to walk any further, so her daughter called for help. We despatched two Land Rovers to the dam, assessed her injury and gave her pain relief.
"We drove her back to the base and advised on self care for her ankle, with a recommendation that she went to hospital if it had not improved by the morning. The incident involved 10 volunteer team members."
