HERE are the latest announcements from our community news correspondent Glenis Gaunt for Ingleton.
Ingleton Duck Race
What did you do at the weekend?
We chased 800 plastic ducks down the (very low) River Doe dressed as two giant ducks and super woman.
Vera’s Fund would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported them at Ingleton Gala at the weekend.
We were running 3 stalls on the field raising money for Anna’s Cambodia trek with St John’s Hospice next year and of course the amazing Duck Race! Ingleton Angling Association very kindly loaned us the ducks and JT Atkinson provided the netting and manpower to catch all 800 (no ducks were lost in the running of the race – it’s a very safe sport!).
Vera’s Fund will be running a wide range of events to help boost the St John’s coffers including a band night with Flaming Nora, belting out 80’s classics, this Friday 23rd July in the Village Square. Find out more and support us by following www.facebook.com/verasfund.
