A CAR that came off the road and was teetering on a ledge with a person inside precipitated a multi-agency emergency response.
The vehicle got into the precarious position at Dry Rigg Quarry yesterday.
Bentham Fire Station was called out at around 3.25pm and found the driver 'out of the car and safe'.
Police and the ambulance service also attended the incident near Settle, North Yorkshire.
"Do not adjust your phone, the car really is at that angle," said a spokesman for Bentham Fire Station in a post to social media.
"The crews used two ground anchors and two hand-powered winches to pull the car back onto the track.
"Once the car was safely back onto the path, the car was handed back to the owner."
