COVID-prevention measures at a South Lakeland plant nursery are to 'remain as they are' in an effort to 'protect our valued team and customers', it has been announced.
Bosses at Beetham Nurseries have asked customers to continue wearing masks and maintaining social distance.
Measures of this kind will cease to be a legal requirement from Monday, but individual businesses can still mandate that people adhere to them.
A spokesman for the nursery at Beetham listed other measures that would remain in place:
- A one-way system will be maintained throughout the garden centre and growing nursery.
- Sanitising stations will be available.
- Staff members will continue to socially distance from customers and wear masks 'at all times across the site'.
- The Garden Cafe team will continue to meet customers at the door to seat them. Customers can then order at the counter and seat themselves again, with the order being brought to them.
"Our team come into contact with many people daily and so we will be doing everything we can to keep everyone, including you, safe," said the spokesman.
"Thank you for your understanding and continued support, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Beetham Nurseries very soon."
