A POPULAR South Lakeland hotel will maintain a number of Covid-prevention measures after 'freedom day' on July 19, it has been announced.
Bosses at the Swan Hotel and Spa said they wanted 'to put your mind at ease' and 'ensure visiting the Swan is a positive, pleasurable experience'.
It came after Boris Johnson announced the Government would press ahead with its plan to end lockdown restrictions this Monday.
The Swan, located at Newby Bridge, will be keeping sanitising stations readily available, maintaining a one-metre social distance policy 'where we can', and offering table service only.
Masks will be worn by staff members but members of the public can make their own decisions in this regard.
A spokesman for the hotel said: "We will not be restricting table or group numbers, so you can enjoy those long-awaited catch-ups, parties and celebrations again, and we’ll also be allowing more guests to enjoy our pool and spa facilities at any one time (though you’ll still be required to book a slot).
"We hope you understand our reasoning for keeping some restrictions in place, and will of course continue to ensure you still have a swanderfully amazing stay with us!"
The spokesman thanked the 'majority of our guests, visitors and members' who had 'been so very understanding, polite patient and supportive over the last few months'.
