THE family of late television presenter Caroline Flack has issued a statement after a group of people raised nearly £30,000 on a trek in the Lake District in her memory.
Participants in the event last weekend included Bradley Simmonds, who was Flack's personal trainer, singer-songwriter Olly Murs and members of Flack's family.
Flack, known for her work on Love Island and The Xtra Factor, died by suicide in February 2020.
A statement from her family said: “We want to say a huge thank you to Bradley for organising 'Climb For Caroline' and to every single person who took time out of their busy lives to join in.
“Across the weekend we shared moments of sadness and joy, we stuck together throughout the rain and shine and managed to raise nearly £30,000 for [suicide prevention charity] Samaritans.
“Thank you to all of those we met along the way and to those at home who continue to support us.”
