Police have launched an investigation after a vehicle failed to stop after hitting another car.

Officers are investigating the fail to stop road traffic collision, which occurred sometime overnight on on May 23 2021 on Limethewaite Road, Windermere.

A small black 4x4 was hit by another vehicle which left the scene and police are looking for witnesses who may have heard the collision or seen a vehicle with front nearside damage. 

A Cumbria Police spokesperson said: “Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log number 79 of 23rd May. 

“Alternatively you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers completely anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
