The search for a missing tabby will begin in Kendal tomorrow.

Animal Search UK Pet Detectives, the largest lost and found pet organisation in the UK, is helping in the search for missing cat Roy, who has not been seen since Sunday, March 14, when he went out as normal but did not return home.

The seven-month-old tabby and white cat is microchipped and neutered.

Detectives from the organisation will be in and around Kendal tomorrow (March 19), investigating in the locality, speaking to residents, conducting searches of the area where Roy was last seen, and appealing for information.

The Westmorland Gazette:

The Pet Detectives will have thermal imaging cameras to help spot Roy, as well as a detailed search plan to try and uncover any information.

Detectives Tom and Andrew have been on more than 100 pet detective searches and will wear high-visibility clothing and drive a large high visibility Animal Search van to raise awareness of the search.

The Westmorland Gazette:

Pet Detective Andrew McNair said: “Very often cats are found no more than a mile away, it’s important we try and ascertain where Roy may be and hope we manage to get some sightings.”

If anyone has any information, please call Animal Search UK’s emergency animal hotline on 0800 4 320 340 and quote ALP394535.

The organisation is asking residents to keep a lookout and help reunite Roy with his owners who are desperate to get him home.
