South Lakes MP Tim Farron has raised more than £7,000 for mental health charity Well Minds by running every day in January.
Across the 31 days, Mr Farron covered over 200 miles and 20,000 feet of ascent.
Well Minds, which is based in Kendal, support young people aged 12 to 25 to help improve their mental wellbeing.
Mr Farron said: “I’m absolutely over the moon that we’ve managed to raise over £7000 for Well Minds.
“I want to say an enormous thank you to everyone who donated – you’ve made a massive difference in supporting young people’s mental health here in the South Lakes.”
The MP was joined on his final run of January by the Chair of Trustees of Well Minds, Ramin Salehi.
After the run, Mr Salehi said: “We are extremely grateful to Tim for his ongoing support for Well Minds and to everyone who sponsored him so generously.
“At a time when more and more young people are looking for support, this funding will enable us to do more to raise awareness and understanding of mental health and promote wellbeing and to provide support in schools and in the community.
“Specifically, it will help fund workshops with teachers and pupils at Kirkbie Kendal school and support our plans to establish a Wellbeing Service in April and a counselling service in September.”
