PROPOSALS for homes near Penrith has been submitted.
Eden District Council has received plans for three homes at land west of St Barnabas Church, Great Strickland - which was submitted late last month.
Jeremy Parsons, historic environment officer at the county council however said in a letter to the district council: "In essence, it is considered that there is the potential for buried archaeological assets to be disturbed by the construction of the proposed development.
"I recommend that, in the event planning consent is granted, the site is subject to archaeological investigation and recording in advance of development."
The consultation period end of December 29.
