Workington Library will be among six Cumbrian libraries that will soon reopen.
Cumbria County Council will open Barrow, Carlisle, Kendal, Penrith, Whitehaven and Workington libraries on August 10.
To protect the health and safety of staff and customers, new Covid-secure measures will be in place and opening times and services will be slightly different.
Library Hosts will greet visitors on arrival and explain the new arrangements.
There will be clear signage throughout the buildings to help everyone find their way around safely and hand sanitisers will be located at the entrance and exit points.
Not all usual activities will be available, but there will still be plenty of resources to enjoy, says the council.
If you can’t wait until then, online services continue to attract more and more people, and all library members can get free access to a whole host of online services, including e-book and e-magazines.
