A DANCE teacher, fitness instructor and Wheels For All Co-ordinator has been keeping the people of Ulverston, as well as many others, actively moving during this current lockdown.
Louise Walton has created a YouTube channel called Stay Active with Louise where you can find her five minute sequences to kick start your day, with each episode getting hundreds of views.
Louise Walton, 48, from Ulverston, said: "My videos are suitable for all ages and abilities.
"Participants can tune in and join in at there own pace.
"There is a real mixture of high-energy cardio and dance routines as well some gentler stretching and toning amalgamations.
"Exercise definitely lifts our mood which helps enormously if we are feeling a little down or lethargic.
"It’s much easier for us to be enthusiastic when things are going well but recently we have been thrown a huge curveball and our facing such challenging times.
"Staying active helps create a healthier lifestyle, it builds a stronger body and mindset, improving our suppleness, flexibility, mobility, posture and increases our heart rate while releasing those all important endorphins.
"A great boost to our energy levels.
"One of my favourite quotes from Joseph Pilates is ‘If you are the age of 30 and you are stiff and out of shape you are old. If you are the age of 60 and you are supple and strong then you are young’.
"I am wanting to improve my own stamina as well which is why I have been doing these Youtube videos and taken up more running as well.
"People have been stopping me in the streets just to tell me how much they are enjoying them which is lovely to hear."
Louise is well known for her role in the fitness world having run classes in leisure centres as well as in multiple schools across Furness.
Tots Dance Mum Naomi Victoria Lindhofer who has now moved to Scotland sent Louise a heartfelt message of support as well
It said: "Honestly, I am so emotional being able to show the kids your channel! Thankyou from the bottom of my heart. Never felt so homesick.
"Thank you for helping me and the kids I will share it on our lockdown family page. The children loved your shout out!
"What a gorgeous memory to keep forever. Everyday you start our morning."
