TIRED but happy MP Tim Farron has completed his challenge of a run every day in January to raise money for charity.
The Westmorland and Lonsdale MP has been taking to the roads every day since, and including, New Year’s Day, to raise money for BEAT, a charity which supports people with eating disorders across the UK.
The intrepid parliamentarian has been averaging five miles each day in all weathers.
And his endeavours have taken him across the beautiful and rugged fells and countryside of his constituency but also in contrast through the heart of London ans he has pounded the roads around the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace when he’s been working down in the capital.
“It’s been a fun few weeks running across our beautiful area with great music from the likes of Duran Duran and The Clash to keep me going,” said Mr Farron.
“But I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I’m glad it’s nearly over.
“I’m delighted to be raising money for BEAT, who do amazing work supporting people with eating disorders and their families. If you could spare a few quid to sponsor me and support BEAT I’d be really grateful.”
