CHRISTMAS decorations will be on the agenda when Silverdale Parish Council next meets on Monday (October 7).
Everyone is welcome at the meeting at Silverdale Institute, from 7.30pm, when members will discuss how to bedeck the village this festive season. With trees costing £50 each, councillors will authorise spending and decide what action needs taking.
Silverdale's new First Responders group is to give an update to councillors, who will decide if they can receive any remaining funds from the previously disbanded group, as well as its defibrillators.
Also on the agenda is a complaint received about orange peel being thrown out of a van by hedge trimmers at The Cove.
Meanwhile, advance notice of two future road closures has been given to the parish council. Part of New Street, Carnforth, will be closed from Monday, November 4 to allow new street lighting to be installed. The work is planned to end by Friday, November 15.
In Warton, Crag Road is to be closed from Monday, December 2 to Friday, December 6 for utility works.
