CARNFORTH'S popular Kitty Brown Boutique has been shortlisted for trade magazine Boutique's 2019 Star Awards.
The ceremony is to take place at London's National Theatre on Tuesday, October 8, 2019.
Caroline Charnley opened the shop at Carnforth railway station 12 years ago before moving to Ashtrees Way eight years ago, in the town centre.
"From the beginning we have tried to exceed our customers' expectations with the quality of brands, wide choice and smart but friendly shopping environment," she said.
"We don't want people to shop with us because they are supporting a local independent; we want them to come here because Kitty Brown Boutique is a great place to shop."
Kitty Brown stocks women's fashion labels such as Seasalt of Cornwall, Adini and Mistral. Footwear brands Fly of London, Ruby Shoo and Rieker were added to the collections last year when the business expanded into the shop next door.
In the Boutique Magazine Star Awards 2019, Kitty Brown Boutique has been shortlisted for independent women's retailer of the year, alongside Young Ideas, Derbyshire; The Edit, Cheshire; Pretty Parade, Lancashire; Cordelia James, East Sussex; and Alluring Boutique, Elgin.
