KIRKBY Lonsdale Rugby Club hopes to gain planning consent for tents, caravans and motorhomes to use part of its grounds from May 1 to September 1 each year.
"Unauthorised use of the site for camping to date has raised a number of local concerns, mainly in respect of access," states a report to be presented to South Lakeland District Council's planning committee next Thursday.
Planners are recommended to give the club temporary permission for one year, so it can come up with a "travel plan" and see how well it works in summer 2020.
