A GRASMERE mum followed in her daughters' footsteps to make her first tandem skydive.
Retired logistics manager Jane Cooper, 62, of Hollens Cottages, was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2018 and had radiotherapy at the region's specialist Rosemere Cancer Centre in Preston.
Jane has now been given the all-clear and she used her parachute jump to raise £1,007.50 for Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
Her daughters Sarah, 29, and Charlotte, 27, spurred her into taking the plunge at Cockerham, with encouragement from Sarah's boyfriend, Nate Williams.
"My instructor was so helpful and filled me with confidence," said Jane, who enjoys horse riding and fly fishing. "I would do it again.”
When not braving dizzy heights, Jane, who lives with husband Stephen, is a member of Grasmere Village Society and the Grasmere Red Squirrel Group.
