TO CELEBRATE nearing the end of a major renovation, the owners of the Royal Station Hotel, Carnforth, are throwing a "taps takeover" event on Saturday, August 10, from 5pm.
Glen Pearson and Maggie Dainty, who took over the hotel in 2016, will be serving drinks from Lancashire brewer Farmyard Ales and distiller Black Powder Gin, with music by Molly Warburton.
The bar and bedrooms have been refurbished, and a roof terrace and tapas restaurant added.
“Back in its day the hotel was a hive of activity," said Glen, "and that’s something we have wanted to recapture since day one."
He said: “We’ve still got a few jobs left on our list but we’re proud of what has been accomplished already. We’ve a great customer base who have been really patient while the work has been ongoing.”
Tickets from the hotel or call 01524-733636.
