SHUT: The M6 will be closed overnight
AN emergency closure will be taking place tonight and into tomorrow morning on the M6.
Cumbria Police say the Southbound carriageway of the motorway will be closed between Junction 39 Shap and Junction 36 South Lakes.
The closure is planned from between 9pm tonight and 5am.
A diversion will be in place via the A6.
Three services, Tebay, Tebay Truckstop and Killington Lake, will be affected by the closure.
