THE South Lakes Girls League has a new sponsor for the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons.
Westmorland County FA has announced that Express Plumbing Supplies will sponsor the girls football league for the next two years.
For Express Plumbing Supplies, the opportunity to work with the County FA enables the local business to invest in the grassroots of the game and help develop the league.
Its investment will support the expansion and development of the league as its numbers increase each season.
Westmorland County FA Football Development Officer James Pattison said: "Over the past few seasons we have seen a large increase in the number of girls playing football in Westmorland. This has led to the number of divisions and teams beingn at an all-time high.
"We currently welcome teams from Kendal, Milnthorpe, Grange, Ulverston, Barrow, Morecambe and Lancaster and the support from Express Plumbing Supplies will enable us to continuously develop the league and raise the standards."
David Shepherd, sales and marketing director of Express Plumbing Supplies, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to sponsor the South Lakes Girls League. We are always looking for ways to raise our profile and support the areas we serve, and what better way to be involved in such a rapidly growing sport as girls football?
