A SOUTH Lakeland business could get the go-ahead next week to make changes to its long-established holiday site.
Craig Russell, of Beetham Holiday Homes at Hale near Milnthorpe, has applied for planning permission from South Lakeland District Council.
It would involve the site off Beetham Lane getting rid of 20 touring caravan pitches and creating 20 “static” lodges.
The aim is to move the location from a field to a woodland clearing area.
Council officers have recommended planning permission is granted with 24 conditions.
The site is long-established as a holiday business with the licence dating back to 1978. It has permission for 148 static caravans and 20 touring caravans.
Beetham Parish Council has “some concerns” and said the plan turns a touring caravan site into a static caravan site.
SLDC’s planning committee will discuss the issue at a meeting in Kendal on Monday, March 4.
