To mark the 200th anniversary of The Westmorland Gazette in 2018, we are publishing a photograph from our archives on our website every day this year.
Today's photograph was taken in July 1950. Its caption read: 'This pet lamb, owned by Mr C. Hodgson, makes a daily round in the village calling for scraps.
'One of its favourite calls in 10 Woodside, where Mrs I. Wood is seen feeding the lamb (which she named Roger)'.
