Kendal Town 0 Chasetown 1
SATURDAY was a frustrating afternoon for Kendal Town as they lost to Chasetown.
Town played well but were unable to find a finish in front of goal, and their task was made harder when Brad Carroll was sent off for an adjudged handball in the penalty area.
Kendal deserved more from the game but missed opportunities continue to haunt the team.
Kyle Sambor caused problems and missed a good chance, Billy Akrigg saw an effort crash off the crossbar and Stu McDonald hit the post in the closing stages.
There is no question that the sending off changed the game as Kendal worked hard and the players showed how committed and determined they are to do well for the club. But in the end they lost out to a good goal by the visitors.
However, it is all about results and sadly Kendal lost out to a relegation rival.
You would hope good performances would bring positive results, but as time goes by I would settle for an ugly 1-0 win – and Kendal have to bounce back quickly.
Next up is a trip to in-form Leek Town, who are doing well towards the top of the table and will pose a real challenge.
In fact, all the games coming up in December are massive as Town play Widnes, Skelmersdale, Colwyn Bay and Droylsden.
Let's hope that Kendal can regain some momentum.
