NEW KENDAL Town forward Aaron Fleming continued his impressive start to life at the club with four goals in just his second appearance.
He found the net three times in the first half and once again in the second as the Mintcakes beat Penrith 5-1 on Saturday.
Danny Penswick was also on target for the Mintcakes at Frenchfield.
Following the result in Eden, another new signing was announced by the club.
Dan Shearwood (pictured below), adept in either midfield or defence, has put pen to paper on terms for the coming season.
He becomes the club’s second new face of the summer after Fleming.
He had featured for the club in the two warm-up matches played so far, impressing head coach David Foster enough to secure a place in the squad for the campaign ahead.
Shearwood’s former clubs include Lancaster City and Burscough.
