PEOPLE are being urged by Craven District Council to use their phones and dash cams to film litter bugs.
Video footage of offenders was useful in the fight against persistent littering, heard Craven councillors at a meeting of the policy committee, which agreed to increase fixed penalty fines for littering from the current £80 to a maximum of £150.
Director of services Phil Ellis said video evidence from the public of littering offences was very welcome and urged people to report any sightings.
