ONE lane of the M6 northbound is still closed this afternoon after a lorry burst into flames at around 1am.
The incident happened between junction 36 and junction 37.
Carriageway clean-up is ongoing following a lorry fire #M6 #Cumbria northbound between J36 (#A590) and J37 #Kendal. Both carriageways were closed overnight but the southbound side is now fully open and the northbound side has one lane open.
Parts of the lorry are being recovered and the hard shoulder and one lane will remain closed overnight.
