STAFF SERGEANT Carreen Johnson RLC had been decorated by The Prince of Wales with the Queens Medal for her contribution to the army reserves at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
Her father, William Johnson, of Staveley, said he was 'immensely proud' of his daughter.
She has seen service in various theatres of conflicts, including the second Gulf War, Bosnia, Croatia and others.
Staff Sergeant Johnson is a serving member of the Royal Logistics Corp.
