CARNFORTH library users could see longer opening hours from July, including late-night opening on Tuesdays till 7pm.
If Lancashire County Council's Cabinet approves the changes next Thursday (March 8) the town library would be open 35 hours each week, giving readers six-and-a-half extra hours.
The red-brick Lancaster Road building would close its doors on Mondays, instead of Thursdays as now.
Book borrowers shared their views during an eight-week public consultation.
Meanwhile, a virtual digital online service is available 24/7 giving a downloadable library of fiction and non-fiction in eBook and eAudio format. Visit www.lancashire.gov.uk/libraries-and-archives/libraries/digital-library
