ONE lane of the M6 is closed due to an overturned car this morning (January 18).
The incident is affecting the northbound side of the motorway between junction 33 A6 (Lancaster South/Garstang) and junction 34 A683 (Lancaster).
Traffic is coping well.
The A590 is partially blocked and traffic is queueing due to ice on the northbound side Greenodd.
Shap Summit is closed due to snow between Jackson's Lane, Shap and Queen Katherines Avenue, Kendal.
Heavy overnight snowfall has closed the road across Shap Summit affecting traffic between Kendal and Shap.
The A6 SHAP is closed due to snow/ice but ultimately for YOUR SAFETY! Please adhere to the signs.

Kirkstone Pass is closed due to snow between Troutbeck and Hartsop.
Honister Pass is closed due to snow between Keswick and Loweswater.
The A66 is closed both ways due to snow between the A67, Bowes and the A685/B6276, Brough. Snow gates are closed.
And there are hazardous driving conditions heading towards Kendal due to ice on the A590 both ways at M6 J36, Kirkby Lonsdale.
